GETTING TO MUAR FROM THE AIRPORTS   

FROM KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KUL)

1) BY TAXI / VAN 

I. Taxi Company The taxi company that operates the Taxi Service in KLIA is AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD  

II. Location of Taxi Service Counter The AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD booking counter is located within the International Arrival Hall. Upon collecting your luggage and clearing Customs you can proceed to this counter. If you are not able to locate the counter please ask the Customs Officer or any Airport Official to show you the AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD  

III. Types of Taxi The AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD provides 4 types of taxi service:

Journey from KLIA (Meet & Greet Service)

IV. Payment The above is the ONLY payment that you make with regards to your taxi. It covers your journey from the KLIA Airport to the doorstep of your accommodation place in Muar.  Payment for the taxi must be made at the counter. Payment can be made by Credit Card or Cash. If you are paying in Cash and do not have any Ringgits (Malaysian Currency) there are Money Changers or Bureau de Change at the Arrival Hall before you clear Immigrations. Upon payment you will be issued with a Coupon. On the Coupon it will state to which Door you need to proceed in order to get your taxi. Please keep your Coupon with you at all times.  If you are unsure about anything please ask the people at the AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD counter to assist you especially to show you were you need to go to get your taxi. 

V. CAUTION Once you have got your coupon and you Exit the Arrival Hall, there will be many persons (usually men) who will approach you to ask if you need a taxi. They usually are very well dressed (in suit & tie) and speak fluent English. They will even offer to help you to find your AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD taxi or help you with your bags. IGNORE them and go directly to the place that is stated in your Coupon and wait for your AIRPORT LIMO (M) SDN BHD Taxi. These are Touts and they have charged US$200 or RM650 for the taxi fare to come to Muar. A few conference delegates were cheated by these touts.    

2) BY BUS 

Step 1 – KLIA to Pudu Raya Bus Terminal Take the Star Shuttle Bus from the Airport Bus Depot located at the Ground Floor of the KLIA Main Terminal to Pudu Raya Bus Terminal.  Star Shutte website, http://www.starwira.com/ - Bus departs every 1 hour from 5.30am till 1.45am- Fare is RM10 one way- Travel time 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Pudu Raya Bus Terminal b) Alternatively, you can take a bus, the AIRPORT COACH to KL Sentral.- The Bus Terminal is at the Ground Floor of the KL Airport Main Terminal building. Do ask the Information counter for direction if you cannot locate it. - The ticket price is RM10 per person. - The bus journey takes 1 - 1 1/2 hours depending on traffic to reach KL Sentral 

Step 2 -  KL Sentral to Pudu Raya Bus Terminal Take a taxi to Pudu Raya Bus Terminal    - taxi fare roughly RM10 (Ask them to use the meter)    - travel time 15 - 30 minutes depending on traffic 

Step 3 - From Pudu Raya Bus Terminal to Muar Bus Station There are several bus companies that ply the Kuala Lumpur to Muar route everyday. Here are their names:

Hasry Ekspress
Mayang Sari Ekspress *
Transnasional Ekspress * * Mayang Sari & Transnasional the buses are much better Bus schedule is from 7.45am till 9.00pm depending on the 4 bus companies and their schedules. The bus fare = RM16 per personDuration of journey to Muar = 2 1/2 - 3 hours  

Step 4: Muar Bus Station to Accommodation You can take a taxi to your chosen accommodation. The taxi fare will cost you only RM10 per taxi.     

FROM LCCT - KLIA

1) BY TAXI / VAN 

I. Taxi Company The taxi company that operates the Taxi Service in LCCT - KLIA is MESRA INDAH JAYAWebsite: www.mesraindahjaya.com  

II. Location of Taxi Service Counter The MESRA INDAH JAYA booking counter is located on the Right upon Exiting  the International Arrival Hall.  Upon collecting your luggage and clearing Customs you can proceed to Exit and look this counter on the Right. If you are not able to locate the counter please ask the Customs Officer or any Airport Official to show you the MESRA INDAH JAYA  

III. Type of Taxi  The MESRA INDAH JAYA provides 3 types of taxi service.

IV. Payment This is the ONLY payment that you make with regards to your taxi. It covers your journey from the LCCT - KLIA Airport to the doorstep of your accommodation place in Muar.  Payment for the taxi must be made at the counter. Payment can be made by Credit Card or Cash. - Fare is RM9 one way
- Travel time 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Pudu Raya Bus Terminal 

Step 2 - From Pudu Raya Bus Terminal to Muar Bus Station There are several bus companies that ply the Kuala Lumpur to Muar route everyday. Here are their names:

FROM SENAI AIPORT, JOHOR BAHRU 

1) BY TAXI

II. Location of Taxi Service Counter Arrival Hall Senai International Airport. Tel : +607-5991 622  

III. Cost RM 160 (6.30am – 12.00am) / RM 240 (12.01am – 6.29am)   

2) BY BUS 

Step 1 – From Senai Airport to Larkin Bus Terminal There are 3 Bus Companies that ply the Senai Airport to Larkin Bus Terminal route:
Causeway Link (Bus No.333) 
Maju (Bus No.207)
GML Line G1 
The cost of a ticket is RM3.00 - RM3.20.There is a bus every 20 minutes, operating from 6.00am - 10.00pmThe journey will take roughly 45min - 1 hour depending on traffic. 

Step 2 – From Larkin Bus Terminal to Muar Bus Station There are 3 bus companies that have services to Muar:
Mayang Sari Ekspress - last bus is at 7.15pm
KKKL Ekspress           - last bus is at 8.00pm
South Johor                  
The bus ticket cost RM15 per person.The journey from Larkin Bus Terminal to Muar takes roughly 2 1/2 hours.  

Step 3 – From Muar Bus Station to Accommodation You can take a taxi to your chosen accommodation. The taxi fare will cost you only RM10 per taxi.     

FROM CHANGI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, SINGAPORE (SIN)

1)  – BY TAXI / VAN 

Taxi - RM 300 per taxi.
Please email us for the contact details of the Taxi Driver who could pick you up from Changi International Airport and drop you off at your accommodation of choice in Muar.

2) FROM CHANGI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO MUAR – BY BUS 

OPTION A – BUS FROM SINGAPORE 

Step 1 – From Changi Airport Take the MRT train and get off at Lavender Street  

Step 2 – Direct bus from Singapore to Muar Bus Station
a) Malacca S'pore Express - Lavender Street Tel: 62935915 (10am & 4pm) - Only buses departing at these times come to Muar  
b) KKKL Trans Lim Express - Beach Road Tel: 63981216 (10am daily) 
c) Delima Express - Kallang Bahru, Lavender Street Tel: 62949306 - SGD 16 per person  

Step 3 - From Muar Bus Station to Accommodation You can take a taxi to your chosen accommodation. The taxi fare will cost you only RM10 per taxi.     

OPTION B - BUSES FROM JOHOR BAHRU
Another alternative is to cross the border to Johor Bahru and take a bus to Muar from the Larkin Bus Terminal in Johor Bahru. 

Step 1 – From Changi Airport Take the MRT train and get off at Kranji MRT Station. Cost: SGD1.90 

Step 2 – From Kranji MRT to Larkin Bus Terminal From Kranji MRT Station take Bus No.170 to Larkin Bus Terminal in Johor Bahru. The bus ticket cost SGD1.40 per person.  

Step 3 – From Larkin Bus Terminal to Muar Bus Station From Larkin Bus Terminal (Johor Bahru) there are 3 bus companies that have services to Muar: 
Mayang Sari Ekspress - last bus is at 7.15pm
KKKL Ekspress           - last bus is at 8.00pm                
The bus ticket cost RM15 per person.
The journey from Larkin Bus Terminal to Muar takes roughly 2 1/2 hours.
