REVELATION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

God spoke further to Moses and said to him, “I am the Lord; and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as [c]God Almighty, but by My name, [d]Lord, I did not make Myself known to them.

Exodus 6:2,3

and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to [c]James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as [d]to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. For I am the least of the apostles, [e]and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified [f]against God that He raised [g]Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;

1 Corinthians 15:5-16

All apostles must have SEEN THE LORD.

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, [h]Elijah; but still others, [i]Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.” 15 He *said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are [j]the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Matthew 16:13-16

22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man [r]attested to you by God with [s]miracles and wonders and [t]signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know— 23 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of [u]godless men and put Him to death. 24 [v]But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the [w]agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held [x]in its power. 25 For David says of Him,

‘I saw the Lord always in my presence;
For He is at my right hand, so that I will not be shaken.
26 ‘Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue exulted;
Moreover my flesh also will live in hope;
27 Because You will not abandon my soul to Hades,
Nor [y]allow Your [z]Holy One to [aa]undergo decay.
28 ‘You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’

29 [ab]Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is [ac]with us to this day. 30 And so, because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one [ad]of his descendants on his throne,31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of [ae]the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh [af]suffer decay. 32 This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted [ag]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear. 34 For it was not David who ascended into [ah]heaven, but he himself says:

‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
35 Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and [ai]Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”

Acts 2:22-36

An aspect of Christ revealed to each of the apostles and prophets. Together a fuller revelation of God is embraced.

The Revelation of the GOD-MAN

This is the revelation that God can live and move in and through man. The fullness of Deity dwelt within Him in a bodily form.

19 For [aa]it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the [ab]fullness to dwell in Him,

Colossians 1:19

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

Colossians 2:9

The Spirit of the Lord [a]God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the [b]afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And [c]freedom to prisoners;

Isaiah 61:1

He was God incarnate. He was the Word made flesh. God came in the flesh in and through the life of Jesus.

In the Garden He came as a Spirit Being. Jesus gave God a body.

Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,

“Sacrifice and offering You have not desired,
But a body You have prepared for Me;
In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have taken no pleasure.

Hebrews 10:5-6

19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and [i]He has [j]committed to us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:19

The preliminary (initial) purpose of Incarnation was Revelation

The primary (main) purpose of Incarnation was Redemption

The plenary (complete) purpose of Incarnation was Reconciliation.

God attested this Man by working, living, speaking, reconciling, delivering, revealing Him and condemning sin, sickness, and diseases through Him.

Now he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the evil one (Acts 10:38)

This God man connected heaven and earth. The angels ascended and descended on Him (John 1:51). He was what Jacob saw as the ladder of Heaven (Gen 28:12)

God consummated all things, summing up of all things in Christ both in heaven and things on earth (Eph 1:10).

The law and the prophets were fulfilled in this ONE MAN CHRIST (Luke 24:26, 27, 44-46)

The Old Testament and New Testament saints are all saved in ONE MAN.

This MAN was the GOD MAN, the Lamb of God who will take away the sins of this world.

This MAN came to EXPLAIN GOD, EXPOUND the Mystery, EXHIBITS His Attributes, EXEMPLIFY the Patter, EXPRESS His Likeness, EXULT the Triumph and EXALT His Name.
